We are positioned in a rural setting close to Cornwall’s North Coast footpath and nestled in between the sandy beaches of Porthtowan and Portreath, which are famous for their rolling breakers and relaxed surfing scene. Porthtowan boasts a beach with Blue Flag status.
Elm Farm Camping in Cornwall, has provided an authentic slice of rural Cornish life for hundreds of guests over the years. If you’re trying to get away from it all, one afternoon watching someone trying to herd stubborn farm animals might persuade you that the stresses of the city aren’t really quite so bad after all. The pitches are positioned around the perimeter of 2 spacious fields which leaves plenty of space in the middle for the kids to play.
If you are looking for a natural camping in Cornwall experience then Elm Farm is the place for you. Our beautiful camping fields enjoy natural shelter from a border of mature trees including the increasingly rare Elms of our name. Running along the southern perimeter is a little gurgling stream. In addition to visiting tents, caravans and camper vans, we place large furnished bell tents around the site for people that want to experience glamping.
We try to keep the camping field as natural as possible so that we do not interfere with the local colonies of bats nor distract the badgers from their nightly patrol.
We offer cycle hire at a reduced rates for campers at just £10 per day to enjoy the Coast to Coast Cycle trail we are situated on.
If you want a real fire while you are camping, Elm Farm is the place for you. We provide upcycled washing machine drums as braziers to burn wood in.
We also have a cafe on site for cooked breakfasts, lunches, afternoon teas, local ice creams and are licensed for an end of the day sundowner!
The camping fields are supplied with clean drinking water and solar fairy lights around the facilities. There are two composting toilets, two family size washroom cubicles with hot showers and sinks and two dish/laundry washing sinks all with hot water. There is also a flushing toilet and chemical disposal point for guests beside the cafe a short skip up the hill.
