Directions

From Exeter come off the A30 at Cheriton Bishop. Continue on the old A30 for 2 miles until you see a left hand turning signed for Drewsteignton and Westford Farm. Turn left and continue down the hill. We are the second driveway at the bottom of the hill signposted Westford Farm.

From Okehampton come off the A30 at Whiddon Down and immediately take the first right hand turn to Crockernwell. Take the next right signposted Drewsteignton and Westford Farm. Follow the road down the hill and take the second driveway on the right signposted Westford Farm.

From the village of Drewsteignton leave the village with the shop on your right and continue down the hill. Take the next left and follow the road round until you reach the bottom of a steep hill. We are the first gateway on the left signposted Westford Farm.
Three hares campsite is run by Chinnie and Henry. We are a small, family run campsite in Dartmoor National Park, set on a 25 acre small holding that we are slowly re-wilding alongside running a timber framing business. In organic conversion with the soil association, we offer an eco friendly and secluded camping experience.

This will be our first year running the campsite and we look forward to welcoming you to our site.

Three Hares Campsite is licensed through the Freedom Camping Club.

We have 5 all year caravan pitches and 10 tent pitches as well as a fully furnished bell tent to rent.

We are within easy access of the A30.

Our sheltered site is in a secluded valley just outside the historic village of Drewsteignton, an idyllic location from which to explore all that Dartmoor has to offer. From walking the Two Moors Way, hiking the high moors, kayaking down the River Teign to enjoying a traditional Devonshire cream tea, there is always something to do.

We are just a few minutes drive or 20 minutes walk from Drewsteington, which has a very well stocked shop and an excellent pub serving fantastic food. We will also have a small on-site shop.

At the campsite you are welcome to hire a fire bowl or bring your own to enjoy a campfire, we can even supply the logs. We have all the usual facilities, fresh water, hot showers, chemical waste, flushing loos, family bathroom as well as a washing up area. We are an eco friendly site and encourage campers to respect the site and keep unnecessary waste to a minimum.

Our site is small and simple with spacious pitches and a little stream bordering the camping field. Please be aware that there are ponds and streams on the site so please supervise children at all times.

Sorry no dogs as we have sheep for neighbours.

We had a lovely few days staying on an electric hook up pitch at Three Hares campsite. The field is spacious, the environment is natural, safe and very family friendly. We found it easy to switch off and go back to nature regulating our days based on the sunlight, how fast the brook was flowing. The washing, toilet and shower facilities are clean and well maintained. We will come back when possible, keep up the good work!

Spent a lovely weekend camping with friends at this beautiful and relaxed campsite. The location is beautiful, the facilities fantastic and the owners Henry and Chinnie are just lovely. They were so kind and helpful, providing us with a fire pit and wood and making sure we had everything we needed. I can’t recommend highly enough.

We had a great stay camping for the weekend at The Three Hares Campsite. The tree lined field was beautiful with a lovely rustic play area and rope swing for the children. The shower and toilet facilities were clean with powerful hot showers and lovely flowers. Likewise the washing up area was beautifully done, clean, with hot water. Chinnie and Henry were really friendly and very helpful and the fire pit was a bonus! Definitely recommend this as a lovely camp spot.
