From Exeter take the A38 towards Plymouth, then at Buckfastleigh take the A384 towards Totnes. On reaching the traffic lights in Totnes, turn right onto the A381 Kingsbridge road, going through Harbertonford and Halwell. Avoid Dartmouth and coast road, keep on the A381 go past the BP Garage. Then 1 mile further on, turn left at the sign post to Slapton (the 6'6" width restriction only applies to Slapton Village). Do not turn off this lane; keep on this lane for 4 miles. Sea View Campsite entrance sign is on the left, before the Village sign.
CARAVANS AND MOTORHOMES MUST COME THIS WAY since Slapton Village is too narrow and steep for them.
Some Satellite Navigation aids direct through congested holiday routes such as the Torbay/Dartmouth Ferry, or via farm tracks which are unsuitable for cars.
To avoid an unnecessarily long journey we recommend that you set your sat/nav destination to Totnes first, and then reset it to (shortest route) Slapton, or enter this code 50.305200,-3.667500, which takes you to the campsite entrance.
If you are using What3Words, "///really.copper.unafraid" marks the campsite entrance.
Sea View Campsite is a peaceful, uncommercialised farm site with grass underfoot and stars overhead. It is surrounded by breathtaking South Devon countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty with views across the fields to the sea. The picturesque coastline, South West Coast Path, Slapton Sands, and Slapton Ley Nature Reserve are a mile and a half from the site.
This family–run site makes a perfect holiday base, being close to Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Salcombe and many lovely beaches including award-winning Blackpool Sands.
Pitches are large and level with plenty of space for children to play. We accept caravans, campervans and tents.
Electric hook up pitches are available but should be pre-booked during school holidays to avoid disappointment.
Facilities include toilets, showers, washing-up sinks, fridge, freezer and microwave. A campfire area, situated away from the main camping area, has a stunning sea view but you are also welcome to have a barbecue on your pitch, if it is safe to do so.
Well behaved dogs on leads are welcome in the camping field. They have their own, large exercise fields nearby.
