On junction of A40 with A4136 in village of Huntley Glos (Satnav GL19 3EU)
Forest Gate has been established as a camping and caravanning site for over 30 years. The site is in the grounds of the former Victorian Rectory, surrounded by lovely countryside, orchards and fields. The grounds occupy over 3 acres and the site is licensed by the local authority for 25 units (a unit being the space for a tent or a caravan). We have flush toilets, hot and cold water and electric showers. There are electrical hook-ups and drinking water points around the grounds and refuse is collected daily. Fire Extinguishers are also sited strategically for your protection. We have a small log cabin just at the entrance to the site which acts as Reception and as a very small shop catering for basic needs – milk, bread, sweets, freezing your ice-packs and so on. Pets are always welcome at Forest Gate. Dogs will only be accepted by arrangement, and restricted to one dog per unit during high season and Bank Holidays. No guard dogs, or dogs that think they are guard dogs, will be accepted. Please telephone to arrange acceptance of your dog. Dogs must be kept on leads, but there are many open fields for their exercise close by (watch out for sheep)
