Skybarn Farm is ideally placed for visiting the historic sites of the city including the magnificent Gothic Cathedral and Lincoln Castle. A perfect location for the surrounding area with its many and varied attractions such as Whisby Natural World Centre, Doddington Hall and Gardens and the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds to name but a few.
Skybarn Farm is an ideal base from which to visit Lincoln Christmas Market (7-10 December 2017), RAF Scampton Air Show (9 & 10 September 2017), Lincoln University and Lincolnshire or Newark Showgrounds for many events throughout the year. Whilst staying with us why not explore Lincolnshire's amazing aviation heritage? We can recommend the famous Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre where a permanent exhibition explores Lincolnshire's ties to the RAF and you can take a guided tour of the hangar where you can see five Spitfires, two Hurricanes, two Chipmunks, a Lancaster and a Dakota at close quarters. Or visit the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre which is a family run museum and holds one of the rarest aircraft an Avro Lancaster Bomber known as "Just Jane". We have many other heritage sites and airbases across our beautiful county.
We also have excellent local pubs and restaurants serving delicious meals within walking or cycling distance.
Our site is 0.5 acre of lawned, level ground with five hard standings, coded access security gates with 24 hour CCTV, electric hook up points, complimentary WiFi, a dog walk around our fields and an information hut packed with up to date tourism leaflets. The site also benefits from views across to Lincoln Cathedral and the Lincoln Edge with adjacent access to the Sustrans Network providing cycle routes into North Hykeham, the city of Lincoln and beyond.
