Things to do
If you can drag yourself away from the beautiful surroundings, Hart Lake Escapes is ideally located to visit many places in North Yorkshire, including York, which is only a 15-minute bus journey away (bus stops outside the property) with all its history, tourist attractions, shopping and nightlife. In the opposite direction, the Howardian Hills are a 13-minute drive away, encompassing the famously renowned Castle Howard, with its acres of garden and woodland, stately home, coffee shop, garden centre and farm shop. Another couple of minutes further along, brings you to the pretty market town of Malton, famous for its weekend markets and food festivals.
If however the seaside is calling you, you are spoilt for choice along the East coast with the coastal towns of Bridlington, Filey, Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and Whitby (Clare and Andrew’s happy place 🌞), to name but a few, all within 45-60 minutes drive, or the latter two also being accessible by bus from outside the property.
