Our campsite is situated a third of a mile off the A39, which is accessible off the M5 Junction 23. We are in between Ashcott and the village of Walton in Somerset.

We are surrounded by countryside with panoramic views of Glastonbury Tor, the Mendip Hills and the Somerset Levels. There is a large variety of wildlife in the area including Larks, Bitterns, Kingfishers, Swallows, Woodpeckers, Hawks, Brown Hare, Deer and Otter. Families Welcome. Toys and games are free to use in our tourist information point.

We are sorry but we do not allow DOGS on the campsite.



Things to do

Great Shopping nearby with the famous Clarks Village, along with a large choice of restaurants, pubs and bars in the local area. The mystical town of Glastonbury is nearby, they offer a tour bus which makes regular visits to Glastonbury Tor. Official Cycle routes lead through the countryside and there are plenty of footpaths for those who enjoy a good ramble. There are also wildlife trusts at Sharpham Moor, Catcott Complex, Catcott North, Dundon Beacon and Westhay Moor, Great Breach Wood, Gillingdown and the RSPB nature reserve at Ham Wall.

We have just spent 3 nights at Larks Rise. It is a family run site and is fairly new. The toilets and showers are impeccable. It's a lovely little site, surrounded by fields and alot of thought has gone into it. The individual camping /caravanning pitches are very spacious so you don't feel like you're on top of your neighbours. Some tent pitches have electric and all of the Motorhome and caravan ones do. It's really a home from home. Everywhere is so colourful as there are beautiful flower boxes dotted around. A lovely, well run site. It's close to Clark's outlet Village and Street also has a brilliant open air heated swimming pool. Larks Rise is definitely worth a visit.
